In its 16th edition and 30th anniversary, Alimentaria 2006 closed the show last 10th of March with record numbers in exhibiting space (122,000 sqm), professional visitors (152,000) and exhibitors (5,000).

A total number of 152,000 professionals visited Alimentaria from 155 countries, a 10% increase in comparison to the previous edition in 2004. As for exhibiting companies, 30% came from overseas, mainly the EU, which signifies a 6% increase from the last edition.
