In its 16th edition and 30th anniversary, Alimentaria 2006 closed the show last 10th of March with record numbers in exhibiting space (122,000 sqm), professional visitors (152,000) and exhibitors (5,000). In its 16th edition and 30th anniversary, Alimentaria 2006 closed the show last 10th of March with record numbers in exhibiting space (122,000 sqm), professional visitors (152,000) and exhibitors (5,000).
A total number of 152,000 professionals visited Alimentaria from 155 countries, a 10% increase in comparison to the previous edition in 2004. As for exhibiting companies, 30% came from overseas, mainly the EU, which signifies a 6% increase from the last edition.
