MPI organises their European Conference in Davos and expects 500 event and meeting professionals

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) will hold their Professional Education Conference-Europe (PEC-E) from the 26th to the 28th of March in Davos (Switzerland). During three days, the biggest international association of meeting professionals in the world will hold educational and relational events, and expects the attendance of over 500 European event professionals.

MPI will also present their new services, the Culture Active Tool©, an Internet tool, developed with the support of IMEX and MCI, which allows MPI members to analyse and improve their capacity to understand and communicate with other cultures, an essencial need in today’s event sector; and the MPI Member Solutions, the first initiative to define the profession of event organisers and to create personalised careers in the sector.

This initiative comprises “MPI Professional Pathways”, an online tool for professional advising in the sector, which includes a definition of the professional profiles in the event sector, as well as “My MPI”, a tool for the personalisation of MPI web page for members, and the “MPI Resource Center”, which offers members all the answers to questions about their profession, as well as information on books and articles, and an assistance service in the search of proffesional opportunities.

Under the motto “It’s all about YOU”, the conference will present high quality speeches about motivational and educational matters for professionals in the sector, with subjects such as “Strategic management of events”, “Return on events, “Technology”, etc., as well as advanced courses for professionals with over ten years of experience in the sector.
