Meeting Professionals International (MPI) launches in Spain

MPI, (Meeting Professionals International), the largest association of event and meeting professionals in the world, is preparing the launch of their Spanish chapter. The association, with 20 members in June 2005, has now 50 members, the exact number required to open a chapter. The official launch of the chapter is expected during the first months of this year.

MPI has more than 19,000 members in 66 chapters. Members include event professionals, providers (hotels, venues, audiovisuals, etc.), event organisers (DMC, PCO, event agencies, etc.) and meeting and event planners in companies and associations. MPI provides their members with business development opportunities: networking, professional training and certification programmes, information and access to studies about market trends, as well as commercial opportunities.
