Starwood Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to acquire Le Meridien, with full powers of property and exploitation of its more than 130 hotels. Key decisions, such as possible changes of the brand or renovation plans for some of the hotels, will not be developed until the conclusion of the purchase operation. In Spain, Le Meridien has currently one hotel, located in Barcelona.
