The Congress Office of Gijon presented itself to the Catalan professionals

On the 20th June was the presentation of the Oficina de Congresos de Gijón in the Showroom de Portae in Barcelona. The intention was to communicate its services for professional events. One of the most important national event has just been held in the city, the XII National Congress and the VI International General Medicine Congress that hosted more than 2,000 attendees.

This presentation summarised the sectors that regularly organise their events, among other sectors in the region, such as Health, Scientific or university, giving the volume of events. In this way, it detailed the services of GCB to promoters of Asturias and the rest of the country to promote Gijon as a venue for national and international meetings. The next presentation will be in Madrid in the last trimester of the year.

During the presentation, there was an audiovisual projection which explained the city in general, such as the infrastructures and the projects of interest for organising any type of congress or incentive trip. Among those present were the Jardin Botanico Atlantico, whose natural environment has space specially for events; the future facilities of the actuary; the Universidad laboral as the unique venue with its varied infrastructure offer and hotels such as the Tryp Sol Melia, AC, Abba and soon, the Silken.

The event was attended by specialised magazines, professional organisers of congresses and travel agencies.
