Benidorm goes to the beach in Madrid

The following Sunday, 20 of June, at the Paseo de Coches of Parque del Retiro is the first sandcastle building contest in Madrid, a competition that has never been done till now sponsored by Benidorm.
The participants will be distributed in three categories (from 6-9 years old, from 10-15 and 16 years old onwards), and have a time limit to build their themed-free castles in the sand. A jury will select the best which will then go to the final where they will have more time to do their works of art.
All the participants will also be given a pair of entry tickets to the theme parks Mundomar, Aqualand and Terra Mítica, and in addition, the five best of each category will win a weekend in the Marconi Hotel in Benidorm, (a nightstay for two, medium pension during the last weekend of July).
In addition, there will one of the international personality in the creation of sandcastles, the Dutch, Antoinetee Van Maartje, who will also create a sand sculptures exhibition.
