EIBTM Global Village builds its global business reach

Graeme Barnett, EIBTM Senior Exhibition Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions, commented: “In 2013, the EIBTM Global Village welcomed over 780 companies: 53% of which were hotels, 42% destination management companies and the remainder comprising cruise lines and airline alliances amongst others. Of the 65,000 meetings facilitated by EIBTM 2013 overall, over 17,300 appointments were pre-scheduled between Exhibitors and Hosted Buyers in the Global Village.”
The EIBTM Global Village is an interesting business solution for hotel groups, destination management companies, cruise lines and airline alliances as well as car rental and train companies operating globally to promote their products and services to over 15,000 meeting and event professionals. Last year, 79% of Hosted Buyers were interested in building business with hotels, 70% with DMC´s and over 65% of those top buyers had annual budgets of between US$ 500,000 and US$ 10 million for meetings and events.

The fire provides exhibitors an important opportunity to conduct business face-to-face with global Hosted Buyers from the top 10 economies currently generating the world´s highest GDP, in addition to those ranked to feature in this list up to 2050. These include the U.S., Asia, Africa, South America, Brazil, Mexico and India.
