The Tarragona Congress Centre is 10 years old

The congress centre recently celebrated its first decade with a gala, inviting authorities, customers, suppliers and more. The main activity was a concert by the orchestra Camerata XXI of Tarragona, who interpreted 10 classical pieces, one for each year of the centre.
Since opening its doors in 1999, the centre has hosted over 1 million people, who attended 100 conferences, 374 seminars and conventions, 60 exhibitions, 297 concerts and galas. The economic impact for the city of Tarragona from 1999 is estimated at 26 million euros. The venue also presented its new corporate identity, which seeks to reforce the center´s slogan “Apropa´t” (come over here, in Catalan).
