The Malaga candidacy, presented by the City Council through the Malaga Convention Bureau, Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol and the Tourism Council of the Junta de Andalucía, has stood out among the nearly 40 cities that had submitted an application, and will be one of the five hubs that ICCA has valued positively as a safe and accessible destination that also ensures a guarantee of success due to its experience in international events.
All this reinforced with the synergy between the Malaga City Council, Costa del Sol Tourism and Planning and the Tourism Department of the Junta de Andalucía, since the city not only has the institutional support, but also the economic support of the province and Andalusia. . A collaborative formula that guarantees the strength to carry out an event of great importance and impact for the city, as has been demonstrated previously with other outstanding events in the segment of the meetings and events industry such as the European congresses of MPI and SITE.
The congress will feature around 130 ICCA members, and will have a hybrid program. The morning session will be a live streaming broadcast of the Kaohsiung Congress; while in the afternoon there will be an exclusive program for Malaga with sessions led by speakers and world experts, which will give the possibility of attending virtually other ICCA members who are in other cities or countries. This event carries a great projection for the city. Holding an ICCA world congress in parallel with other cities is an important recognition for Malaga and a great opportunity to promote it to the world in a year of paralysis of activity in the MICE segment.
The city is positioned as one of the destinations that has grown more and better in the national and European associative segment in recent years and will project, thanks to this event, a great image of a mature, solid and safe destination.
